Sarkodie released a diss song called "Try Me" targeting Yvonne Nelson.  The song is a response to the revelations in her book "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson". It has caused a stir and sparked debates online.  One Twitter user criticized Sarkodie for insulting women instead of focusing on his music career.  The tweet questioned his status as a favorite rapper compared to others winning Grammy Awards and performing at prestigious music festivals.

Sarkodie has accused Yvonne Nelson of sleeping with multiple men while they were dating.

Rapper Sarkodie has responded vehemently to Yvonne Nelson's allegations against him in her new book, titled "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson."  The actress, producer and writer revealed in her memoir published on Sunday, June 19, 2023 that she had an abortion in 2010 after a brief relationship with Sarkodie.  Yvonne Nelson claimed she made the decision to terminate the pregnancy because Sarkodie refused to take responsibility for the child.  In a fiery new song addressing Yvonne Nelson's scandalous claims, Sarkodie presented his side of the story, completely denying he was the father of the pregnancy in question and accusing Yvonne Nelson of being promiscuous with multiple partners.  Sarkodie described Yvonne Nelson as someone who projected a cool image but secretly engaged in relationships with various people, resulting in a pregnancy he believed wasn't his.
