Camidoh has been nominated for the Viewer's Choice Award for the first time at the BET Awards:

Ghanaian singer and "Sugarcane"hitmaker Camidoh has been nominated for the Viewer's Choice Award for the first time at the BET Awards: 
Best Global Demonstration classification at this BET Grants planned for later in the year.


In a Facebook post recently, June 8, his director, George Britton made the declaration while praising him for the most recent accomplishment.


"Congratulations to Camidoh and the team for being nominated for BET's Best New International Act!!!" he posted.

Camidoh, whose real name is Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, faces stiff competition for the award from Werenoi (France), FLO (UK), Libianca (Cameroon), Raye (UK), Maureen (France), MC Ryan SP (Brazil), Paris Cooper (South Africa), and Nigeria's Asake. Camidoh joins the ranks of Ghanaian artists who have either been nominated for or won


Sarkodie, Kojo Antwi, D Black, R2bees, Stonebwoy, MzVee, Kwesi Arthur, and Black Sherif are among them.

Songs like "For My Lover," "Slow," "Adoley," and "Kaba" brought Camidoh a lot of attention. However, in 2022, when he released the remix of "Sugarcane" featuring Mayorkun and Darkoo, the VGMA24 Afrobeats Song of the Year winner rose to international fame.

The Black Entertainment Television network started the American award show known as the BET Awards in 2001 to honor black entertainers and other minorities in the fields of music, film, sports, and philanthropy.
