Tariq Lamptey supports Asamankese schools with football gear donations.

On Tuesday, May 30, Tariq Lamptey, a defender for the Black Stars, visited Asamankese with his charity organization, the Tariq Lamptey Foundation, to donate to two schools as part of his annual charity work in Ghana. Tariq started this initiative five years ago during his time at Chelsea and continues to carry it out every year. He is currently in Ghana for a short holiday before starting pre-season training for the 2023/24 season with Brighton and Hove Albion. The purpose of the visit to Asamankese was to support the town's immense talent and show appreciation for the continuous support from Ghanaians.  Two schools in the town, Freedom Methodist School and Wesley Methodist School, received donations of football equipment and Brighton's home and away kits. Before the donation, there was a ceremonial game between two Division Three League teams: Young Kotoko Football Club and Nana Kodie Football Club. Yaw Dabo's Soccer Academy will be hosting a visit from the International Director of the World Sports Academy, who will be scouting for players.

Xavi Hidalgo, the International Director for World Sports Academy, has announced that he will be visiting Ghana from June 9, 2023, to June 15, 2023.  In a video shared on his social media pages, he revealed that he will be making a special visit to the academy of Ghanaian movie actor and entrepreneur, Yaw Dabo.  The purpose of his visit is to evaluate the players of Dabo Soccer Academy and assist the talented ones in moving to Europe to play for teams.  This trip to Ghana is a result of Yaw Dabo's recent successful Europe tour, during which he visited several clubs, including Ajax in the Netherlands and Dortmund in Germany.  Yaw Dabo's visit to Spain also gained a lot of attention on social media, and he eventually received an invitation to tour Marca's office in Spain after his viral interview with a presenter of Marca Newspaper following Real Madrid's Champions League game against Manchester City. Black Sherif compares his Miami experience to being in a video game.

Shatta Wale Faces Criticism After Giving Friend $100,000 Birthday Gift

Social media users are criticizing Shatta Wale for gifting his friend $100,000 on his birthday.  The birthday celebration was attended by other popular stars such as Tinny, Jupitar, and Medikal.  During the event, Wale presented a $100,000 cheque to the birthday boy, businessman Prince Richgame.  However, a photo of the cheque surfaced on social media, and netizens accused Wale of being fake. They pointed out that the cheque was for a cedi account, yet Wale claimed to have gifted $100,000, and his name was not on the cheque.  One fan even mentioned that celebrities cannot buy pressure for anyone through their fraudulent and fake acts anymore, especially after Hajia 4 Real's arrest.

Ghanaian movie maker, Fella Makafui shared that she acquired the ability to disregard those who criticize her on social media after a particular occurrence left her feeling depressed. During an interview on 3FM, she disclosed that she came close to attempting suicide several years ago when a sex tape was leaked. Fella Makafui remarked that despite not being the individual in the video, as the public was led to believe, the opinions of others at the time affected her so much that she did not verify the video's authenticity. Recounting how she learned of the tape's existence, she stated that "my manager contacted me and said, 'Precious, I know you wouldn't do this, but I want you to be honest with me. There's a tape out there, is it you?' And I replied, 'What? Where? Never!' So I convinced myself that I couldn't handle it anymore." Ghanaian television presenter Michy has finally responded to requests for her to apologize to Medikal. According to Shatta Wale's former partner, Medikal deserved whatever she did to him.
