Addressing ongoing concerns surrounding her mental health, Efya, the renowned Ghanaian singer, has publicly responded to reports associating her with substance use and a recent performance hiccup due to a health scare.

In a video shared online during an exclusive listening event for her upcoming EP, Efya provided insight into how she copes with the constant stream of negative news. She firmly asserted that the reports were baseless, emphasizing her unwavering commitment to her craft, irrespective of the media's unfounded claims.

Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Jane Fauzziar Awindor, widely known as Efya, took a moment to engage with fans worried about her health.

Earlier this year, rumors circulated that a female artist had nearly missed a UK performance due to alleged withdrawal symptoms, attributed to veteran producer Fred Kyei Mensah.

These reports led to concern from Efya's supporters, prompting calls for intervention by those close to her. The situation intensified with the emergence of a disconcerting video, further tarnishing her brand.

During her private listening event held on October 19, 2023, Efya, when asked how she manages amidst these rumors, responded with, "I don't maintain my sanity; I just make it appear effortless."
