During a heartwarming moment on UTV's United Showbiz program, acclaimed Ghanaian gospel artist Joyce Blessing expressed her deep appreciation for her fellow musician, Kuami Eugene, who played a pivotal role in creating her latest chart-topping single, 'Victory'.


In an interview with host MzGee on Saturday, October 14, 2023, Blessing couldn't help but admire Eugene's remarkable talent and generosity.

Blessing recounted the story of how her collaboration with Kuami Eugene unfolded. She revealed that it all began when they met at an event, where Kuami Eugene approached her, expressing his desire to create a song specifically for her.

Joyce also shared that when they met in the studio for the first time, it felt like a magical moment. She was deeply moved by the lyrics of the song Kuami Eugene had written for her, as they echoed her own life experiences. Overcome with emotion, they embraced, and their hug lasted nearly half an hour.

Joyce Blessings shockingly added that despite the pivotal role Kuami Eugene played in writing, composing, mixing, and directing the music video for ‘Victory’, Eugene refused to accept any royalties for the song. This act of generosity left Blessing in awe, showcasing not only his talent but also his genuine passion for creating meaningful art.
