This year celebrated the 5th edition of the prestigious award show that honors the honorable entertainers in Ghana, Africa, and the Diaspora. The occasion co-operated with the Ghanaian and African communities in the diaspora, commemorating renowned entertainers hailing from Ghana.

Big Akwes Claims Kumasi is the "Scam Academy" - Is He Joking?

Big Akwes, a popular Ghanaian Kumawood actor, recently stirred up controversy by claiming that people born and raised in Kumasi are inherently scammers.  In an interview on Angel TV, he suggested that individuals in Kumasi, from leaders to average citizens, even pastors, are engaged in fraudulent activities.  "Everyone born and raised in Kumasi is a scammer; I firmly believe that. Whether leaders or common people, including pastors, they all engage in scams.  Just observe what the young men at Kejetia do with people’s phones... My views are not influenced by this TV station," he declared. He also took the opportunity to refute rumors of a marital relationship with Freda, the ex-wife of another actor, stating that he has never married her. "I have done nothing with her, and I’ve never been married to her.  I prefer not to discuss this due to international partnerships that could be at risk.
