This is especially true in Asamankese, a small town in the Eastern Region of Ghana, where the annual Asamankese Music Awards (AMA) celebrates the best of the local music scene.


One man who has been instrumental in making the AMA a success is Police Officer Emmanuel Afram Baah, better known as Repentant Vybz.

Repentant Vybz is a police officer who has been station in Tema Police Swat.

In 2022, he decided to take his support to the next level by organizing the first-ever Asamankese Music Awards.


The AMA was an instant success, and it has since become an annual event that attracts some of the best talents in the region.

Repentant Vybz has been the driving force behind the awards, working tirelessly to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

He handles everything from logistics to marketing, using his expertise as a police officer to ensure that the event is safe and secure.

But Repentant Vybz's work goes beyond just organizing the AMA. He is also a mentor to many young musicians in the town, offering them guidance and support as they pursue their dreams.


He understands the challenges that they face, having grown up in a similar environment himself. He is always willing to listen to their music and offer constructive feedback, helping them to improve their craft.
