Entertainment:Doreen Avio Traveling Stories!

Doreen Avio: My trip to Botswana with DJ Black for the Forbes Under 30 Summit. It was a Saturday night when we rushed to Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to board South Africa toun Airlines. Although I was so used to the flying economy, I had a new experience in a business class.

From Kotoka, many people who know DJ Black have greeted him, calling his name. Other happy fans waved at him until we left for South Africa.

We arrived safely in South Africa but had to board another flight - Air Botswana - to continue our journey. After waiting almost six hours a beautiful lady walked in to call DJ Black. Excited as she was, she snapped photos with us and expressed her delight at meeting the acclaimed DJ.

Many fans of DJ Black took pictures with him at the different airports with smiles and hugs.

Welcome to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, where the real story began. As usual, for obvious reasons, we had hundreds of people "bullying" and taking pictures with DJ Black. We also met representatives of the Forbes Under 30 Summit - and it was just exciting! You can guess how many celebrity hugs were happening at that moment.

We checked into the Hilton Inn hotel and had a few hours to get ready for the concert.

On the way to the venue, we kept saying the place was quiet but were told everyone was at the venue. We received a wonderful welcome and the pictures with DJ Black never ended as more and more ladies came to take pictures. It felt like everyone was just waiting to see DJ Black on stage and that was about it.

I have arrived in Botswana with DJ Black, the superstar everyone has been waiting to meet for an exciting experience.

As I moved with DJ Black, I often asked myself, "Isn't this the same DJ Black I work with and see every day?" I quickly realized then that I was walking with a superstar.

So the sign was set and things got hot! DJ Black was then introduced on stage by Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi.

"Next up is DJ Black and my wife and I will be putting on our dancing shoes, are you ready to rock? Bring it on DJ,” he shouted.

We met great people, had good food, and had insightful conversations.

It then dawned on me that I had arrived in Botswana with a superstar that many had been so looking forward to. "Wow!" – that is all I could say in my somewhat dazzled state.

Trust DJ Black when he came on stage it was a different vibe altogether. Just the goosebumps made me feel like it was my first time seeing him do what he does best. The audience, the people, and the love were just different as the audience danced and sang along to most of the songs he played. DJ Black just delivered!!

I had the opportunity to meet one of their most popular and greatest artists called A.T.I. Talented whose desire is to train Stonebwoy.

Indeed, it was a fun evening with great people.

After the event, we hung out with two female DJs, one male DJ, and the owner of a lounge. It was indeed a fun evening with great people.

The next day we woke up to fine weather, sunny but cool. We went out for lunch and dinner with representatives and people from different countries who were also in the country for the Forbes Under 30 Summit.

Good food, insightful conversations, and effective networking - beautiful personalities, a quiet and so beautiful place with beautiful weather that didn't feel like Africa. We also took photos.

I enjoyed the different dishes served before and after the event throughout our stay in the countryside. The people of Botswana are meat lovers and prepare it well.

It was far too soon to return to Ghana. An interesting thing happened when I was stuck in an elevator for almost 10 minutes. Eventually, I got out and went to the airport. Guess what? We brought ribs and fries from Botswana to Ghana and they tasted so good to eat the next day.

This time I didn't spare my business class ticket, I ate until I had to beg.
We experienced beautiful, sunny, and yet cool weather in Botswana.
All in all, Botswana is a beautiful place, they are meat lovers and they prepare it so well. Their weather is so cool, and people are nice and welcoming, with less noise.

I will gladly come back, but this time to the northern part to see animals, especially elephants.
