On Friday, May 19, a tragic accident occurred on the Accra-Kumasi highway, resulting in the death of three people.

The accident involved a Hyundai Sonata car with registration number GS 7776-19, which plunged into a river at Enyiresi.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the Hyundai Sonata lost control of the steering wheel while attempting to avoid a head-on collision with a Sprinter bus that made a wrongful overtaking.

The car somersaulted and plunged into the nearby river, leading to the death of all three occupants.

According to reports, the deceased persons were on their way to Nkoranza in the Bono East Region to bury a mother.

The news of their untimely death has come as a shock to their loved ones and the entire community.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the deceased. May their souls rest in peace.
