Christian Atsu leaves his building in Turkey before a magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

This is the official statement from Atsu's Hatayspor club read by the founder of the Crime Check Foundation of Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng.

Information is inferred from CCTV footage recorded on the morning of the incident.

Ghanaian and Hatayspor winger Christian Atsu is believed to have left his building before it collapsed on the morning of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey on Monday, February 6, 2023.

Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng revealed on the official YouTube channel of the Criminal Investigation Organization got an official statement from Atsu's Hatayspor club, confirmed by pre-recorded CCTV footage earthquake.

According to the statement read out by Ibrahim, Atsu was out of his apartment building before it collapsed.

Ibrahim said the puzzling thing now is whether he was able to get out 20 minutes before the building collapsed and where exactly he is at the moment. I think his wife or roommate might be able to help rescuers find him by providing details about his morning and night routines. For example; some people leave home at 5:15 a.m. to hit the gym and return home at 6:00 a.m.. knowing more about their routine can help determine where they may have been at that time. the place where the earthquake happened.. maybe he went and drove his car to a place he used to frequent at that time… I was very worried for him

Isaac Nana Owusu said: I still believe he is not dead. I had a dream last night and it was like, he was alive and well so I saw a cloud of People around him in white uniforms celebrating, singing a happy song. But for one thing, he was the only one of us wearing a black shirt and a red scarf around his neck. I pray that Almighty God will locate and save me from anywhere

2 pairs of Christian Atsu shoes have been found
